Foundation for a drug free world - educational materials
The Foundation for a Drug Free World developed exceptional drug education materials for the school classroom, the school assembly, the after-school workshop and every possible educational outlet. Used by thousands of educators across the nation and globe, the Foundation for a Drug Free World offers numerous educational materials including
- A curriculum entitled "The Truth About Drugs Education Package." Educators can download the educator's guide book which contains the overall curriculum, lesson plans, lesson outlines, activities, homework assignments, standards comparisons, etc. Click here to download this aspect of the curriculum now and get drug education implemented in your classroom on an immediate basis.
- Truth About Drugs booklets - booklets covering each illicit drug including marijuana, alcohol, cocaine, ecstasy, LSD, heroin, prescription drug abuse and others.
- Truth About Drugs Documentary DVD - part of the curriculum, the DVD contains chapters that cover each specific illicit drug and stories from those who survived the addiction to that drug.
- Truth About Drugs Public Service Announcements - these are used as part of the curriculum, and are a popular feature of our Truth About Drugs Events. Our New York presentations begin by showing several of the PSA's to introduce the subject of drugs and their harmful effects upon the individual. These PSA's were also shown on TV including on such stations as MTV, VH1 and others.

Youth Drug Free Pledge. Used at our complementary Truth About Drugs Events. The Foundation for a Drug Free World New York Chapter has put on numerous events at NY schools, after-school programs, etc. Contact the NY Chapter to book your own event at: [email protected].
The Foundation for a Drug Free World New York Chapter's Events always include pledging in the audience using our unique Youth Drug-Free Pledge. Whether the audience consists of elementary school students, middle school students, high school students, college students, PTA parents or any adult group, it is imperative for each to recognize their responsibility, not only to steer clear from drugs, but to help their family and friends to do the same. Feeling part of a team or a group is important, not just in the every day classroom or in a school environment, but also in the workplace and neighborhood. In order for each of us to work together to create a drug free world, we must first make the commitment to help one another stay off of a drugs.
The Youth Drug-Free Pledge brings children together at a young age and forms them as a group of children who are pledging to stay drug-free. This gives them the responsibility to help each other stay drug free, stay informed on the harmful effects of drugs, keep a tight-knit group together through the middle and high school years that encourage and support each other to stay off drugs, and "protect" their environment by allowing others to feel safe and comfortable in their decisions to lead happy, healthy lives - off of drugs!

Adults can also sign the Drug-Free pledge and are encouraged to do so. The New York Chapter is happy to organize any event where the local mayor, councilmember, government official, community board, principal, superintendent, after school director, etc. will take the Youth Drug-Free pledge. Please email us at: [email protected] and we will be happy to provide you with directions on how to contact your local councilmember or local official. We can provide directions on how to set up an event, and provide you with the appropriate signage/banners, booklets, etc.
